Nick Calhoun is a Vice President at Fund Services Group. His responsibilities are within our Outsourced CFO Services areas that focus on the financial and investor reporting processes for the registered and private funds of our clients. This involves preparing or reviewing accounting and reporting deliverables for clients and their auditors, managing service providers for our clients, and ensuring operational and regulatory information flows for accounting data are supported.

Prior to joining FSG, Nick served as Vice President of Financial Operations at Tortoise Capital Advisors, where his primary responsibilities included financial operations and financial reporting oversight for private funds and several registered investment companies including mutual funds, exchange traded funds, closed end funds, and an interval fund. During his time at Tortoise, Nick was particularly integral in overseeing technical accounting and valuation matters for all Tortoise funds. Before his role at Tortoise, Nick worked in Deloitte’s external audit practice as a manager serving investment management clients including private equity funds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, hedge funds, and funds of funds. Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University. He is also a registered CPA in the state of Missouri.

Nick and his wife, Hailey, enjoy music, movies, and spending time with their two cats and foster kittens. Additionally, in his free time, he enjoys film photography, watching or playing sports, and working out.
